South-South Poultry Farmers Urged To Use Best Drugs For Optimal Productivity

Poultry farmers in the South South region have been reminded of the need to use the best type of drugs and feeds to raise their birds to guard against avoidable losses. A representative of First Fish Poultry Drug Treatment Limited, Mr Udoh Martin, gave the advice in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital during the just concluded 2nd South-South Agric Expo and Summit themed: "Repositioning Agriculture for Sustainable Economic Development, which took place in Uyo. Martin said many poultry farmers make huge profits from poultry business through the application of the correct types of drugs such as Super Chronic Respiratory Diseases (Super CRD) to their birds at the most appropriate time. The drug, he said, protects all kinds of birds from contacting air borne diseases, calling on poultry farmers in the region to as well apply Super fowl's Cholera drugs to checkmate what he called "New Castle diseases " from devastating their farms. Describing poultry farming as a lucrative business, Martin said his company deals on poultry drugs to assist farmers in the protection of their birds from being afflicted by diseases, explaining that they were at the Agric Expo and Summit to create awareness on their products to farmers for patronage. He described the 2nd South-South Agric Expo and Summit in the state as a well thought out programme aimed at encouraging people to embrace agriculture as a serious business for income generation and for the realization of food security. The poultry drugs sales representative called for regular organization of the Agric Expo and Summit to create desired awareness on the need for Nigerians to embrace farming in order to produce enough food for consumption and for export. Martin, whose office is located along Idoro Road in Uyo, expressed his willingness to enlighten poultry farmers on the best way to raise their birds and make profit with the applications of his company's products.
