Ikono Council Boss Felicitates Centenarian, Chief Jackson Tom, At Age 101

It was a moment of celebration and glory to God Almighty during the celebration of amazing age of Pa Tom Jackson Akpan Isin Umoh Ekong, which took place at the centenarian's country home, Afaha Ikot Obio Ekot, Itak clan in Ikono Local Government Area.
   The unique birthday party on Thursday, December 26, attracted the crème-de-la-crème of Ikono politics, traditional class, clergy and well-wishers, including the chairman of Ikono Local Government Council, Akparawa Itoro Columba, who graced the special event.
   Felicitating with the celebrator and members of his family, the council boss acknowledged the unwavering hand of God upon Pa Ekong's life over the years and prayed for God's continued protection upon him.
   Columba described him as a highly revered kinsman and traditional leader with the fear of God, in the community, adding that age 101 looked good on him.
   Other highlights included special prayers for members of the family, birthday songs for the host, goodwill messages by friends, among others.
   The centenarian is the family head of Ikot Obio Ekot and one of the oldest persons in the community.
