It was indeed a moment of celebration as family members, friends, in-laws, clergymen, members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, as well as well-wishers thronged the Qua Iboe Church, Midim Waterside, Abak Central Superintendency, on Sunday, January 26, 2020 to celebrate with the family of Elder and Mrs Abasiofiok Inyang over the arrival of their third son and third child, Master Treasure Inyang, into the family.
Acknowledgely, the arrival of a baby into a family is usually a thing of joy accompanied with good omen to the parents. Undoubtedly, the arrival of Master Treasure Inyang, is no exception as he has brought joy, hope, blessings and favour to the family.
In his exhortation during the dedication service, the area chairman, Abak Central Superintendency, Qua Iboe Church, Rev Okworo Okworo, who tagged his message Breaking the Demonic Horns, disclosed that there are forces fighting against the progress of man on earth and likened such forces to horns which intimidate and impede people's progress to their destiny.
Okworo, who drew his text from Zacharahiah 1:18-21, hinted that horns are instruments of intimidation and suppression used by the enemies to scatter, steal, kill and destroy families, adding that horns are experts in destroying the happiness of others as they are instruments of strength for the devil.
The clergy maintained that the duty of the horns is to make people lower their heads in defeat and shame, as its tend they to cook people's future, destiny, womb and every good thing that concerns man, assuring the congregation that with the power in the message and dedication of an innocent baby, God is capable of breaking every horn in their families and lives and make them victorious.
The area chairman explained that in order to break these horns the heavenly carpenters should be invited even as they pray in their closets, as God the omnipotence and omnipresence is ever ready to see them through.
Dedicating Master Treasure Inyang, the man of God who drew his advice from Mark 10:13-16, reminded Elder Inyang and wife, Affiong, that it is their duty to train the child in the way of God and when he grows, he will not depart from it, noting that the celebration is an attestation to the fact that they will journey the child in the way of God throughout his sojourn on earth.
He commended them for dedicating the baby to God and assured them that since they have dedicated their son to God evil shall never befall them, while thanking all the clergies, guests and the entire church for standing by him to make the celebration worthwhile.
In their testimonies, Elder and Mrs Abasiofiok Inyang, returned all glory to God for the gift of Master Treasure to the family and the safe delivery granted during his arrival, saying it has been God all the way, hence their victory.
They stated that God has been so faithful to them as a family, He has kept His promises with them, maintaining that for all He has done for them, they will continue to hold fast and look on to Him alone.
