Senator Bassey Albert Applauds Gov Emmanuel On Isolation Centre

The senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District and chairman, Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, has felicitated with Governor Udom Emmanuel on the commissioning of a model isolation centre.
The 300-bed space isolation centre, built at Methodist Hospital, Ituk Mbang, Uruan Local Government, was commissioned on Friday by Governor Emmanuel.
In a felicitation message to the governor, Akpan, who is the chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources, Upstream, described the facility as timely and very worthwhile.
"On behalf of my wife, family and constituents, I heartily felicitate with His Excellency, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for the lofty initiative of building a model centre for diseases control.
"As this facility, sited at Methodist General Hospital, Ituk Mbang, Uruan Local Government Area, is commissioned today, Friday, May 29, 2020 and put to use, it will surely bolster the systematic efforts driven by Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration to contain the novel coronavirus pandemic in our state.
"It is quite heartwarming that the facility with four wards, pharmacy, laboratory, doctors quarters, medical director's office, canteen, amongst others, will equally offer dire therapeutic services to patients and serve as centre for medical trainees even after Covid-19; a development that will go a long way to boost medical tourism to Akwa Ibom State," he stated.
Senator Akpan assured the governor of the support of his senatorial district and that of the members of the Akwa Ibom Caucus in the National Assembly.
His words, "Your Excellency, as the senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District and chairman, Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, I wish to reiterate the  assurances of our continued support and cooperation towards the peace, unity, progress and tranquility of our dear state."
