Ex-PDP Chairman Makes Case For Abak Council Boss

A former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Afaha Obong Ward 2 in Abak Local Government, Mr Godwin John Udoh has commended the chairman of Abak, Imoh Williams Esq, on the achievements he has recorded in the area since assumption of office.
Udoh, who spoke with our reporter in Abak, expressed happiness that as an illustrious son of Afaha Obong Clan, he has not disappointed the people of Abak.
The former chairman, Forum of PDP Ward Chairmen in Abak, listed some of the achievements of the council boss to include: renovation of offices within the council secretariat, construction of legislative chambers, youth and women empowerment, grading of rural roads, remodelling of Abak town, improved sanitary condition of the area, among others.
He noted that the constitution of various committees by the council chairman has created job opportunities for many youths, resulting in the relative peace being enjoyed in the area.
The former PDP pointed out that as a learned personality, Williams has ensured that Abak Local Government Council under his leadership encourages the children of the area to take education seriously. “I am very proud of his performance. Hon. Barr. Imoh Williams has performed beyond expectation. As you know, education is the key to development; the chairman wants every Abak child to go to school so as to become a useful and responsible citizen in future.
He is the first chairman of Abak to have more than 50 aides on his payroll. With this, he has put food on the tables of many families. So as the saying goes, one good turn deserves another. I want to say that Hon. Barr Imoh Williams deserves a second term”, the former chairman of chairmen stated.
Mr Udo also showered praises on the council boss for inaugurating a Committee on Anti-Loitering, Hawking and Truancy by students during school hours and the hosting of the first Abak Primary Education Stakeholders Summit, stressing that it will make the students and the teachers to take their studies and duties seriously.
He thanked the people of Abak for supporting the chairman to perform well and solicited for more of such support to enable him continue to do more for the people of Abak.
Udo prayed God to continue to guide, protect and give Williams more wisdom and enablement to discharge his duties effectively.
