Ini Ememobong Foundation Awards Academic Excellence, Offers Scholarship To Students Of University Of Uyo

A leap has come the way of undergraduate students of the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State.
To this end, a privately founded organization, the Ini Ememobong Foundation, on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 awarded scholarship to students with higher CGPA from History and International Studies department in the University of Uyo.
The organization did this in line with the philosophy of the founder of the foundation, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the Publicity Secretary of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State that the best way one could impact his society positively is to leave it better than he met it.
Presenting the scholarship awards, the PDP Spokesman, Ini Ememobong said the award, entitled Udom and Martha Academic Excellence Hub Awards is in honour of the Akwa Ibom State governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel and wife, Martha and it is to spur the academic seriousness in students.
He encouraged the students to accept to be moulded by the school in order to be able to conquer the challenges ahead.
He promised to continue with the scheme in the Faculty of Law; Departments of History and International Studies and that of Linguistics and Nigeria Languages where he acquired his degrees from as well as the department of Political Science and Public Administration in honour of the PDP State Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo, who graduated from the department.
Appreciating the foundation on behalf of the awardees, one of the beneficiaries, Akwari, Ugomma Ebe, a 400 Level student of the department described the PDP Publicity Secretary as a promise keeper and pray for God’s blessings on him, the foundation and his family.
The event was witnessed by the Head of Department, History and International Studies, represented by the Examination Officer, Dr Mfon Akwang and other staff of the department.
